15 Non-professional Players Successfully Cut 21 Times in the 2024 PGA Tour Season

These 15 amateurs made 21 cuts during the PGA Tour’s 2024 season

The amateurs had a strong showing in 2024.

A total of 15 amateurs managed to make 21 cuts on the PGA Tour in the same year.

Luke Clanton, representing Florida State, led the pack with six successful cuts across various events, including two top 5 finishes.

Neal Shipley also impressed by making two cuts, specifically at the Masters and the U.S. Open.

But the standout performer among the amateurs was Nick Dunlap, who clinched a victory at the American Express in January, placing him in the elite group of only eight golfers who have won a PGA Tour event as an amateur. He later secured his first professional victory at the Barracuda Championship.

If They Got Paid

Although amateurs don’t receive prize money for making cuts or winning, the potential earnings based on their finishing positions for these individuals could have amounted to $3,587,530.

For instance, Dunlap’s win at the American Express could have translated to a $1.512 million payday, while Clanton’s second-place finish at the John Deere could have earned him $712,000. If Clanton had capitalized on all six finishes, he would have taken home $1,346,313.
