The United States Men’s National Team have a must win situation ahead of them tonight when they take on Uruguay in the finale of Group C play at Copa America. The USMNT have their backs to the wall after losing to Panama on Thursday night, now needing a win and some goals to hold off Los Canaleros.
They take on an Uruguay team that’s in some terrific form, beating Panama and destroying Bolivia to be on 6 points at the top of the group standings. The hope is that maybe Uruguay rests some starters knowing that they’re in all likelihood in the next round, but they still need to make sure they qualify. The USMNT will need to fight for their lives and get the victory, because anything else could see the team exit Copa América very early and put Gregg Berhalter’s future as head coach in serious peril.
