Thoughts on the Draw
Top Quarter
Seeded players: Novak Djokovic (1), Casper Ruud (7), Taylor Fritz (12), Tommy Paul (14), Adrian Mannarino (22), Francisco Cerúndolo (23), Tomás Martín Etcheverry (28), Lorenzo Musetti (30).
Defending champion Novak Djokovic lands in the top half of the draw and starts his Paris campaign against French wildcard Pierre-Hugues Herbert. Djokovic, three-time winner in Paris, entered Geneva this week in search of form as he is yet to secure a title this season. Herbert will have home crowd support, but it should be a straightforward start for the top seed. Djokovic is projected to face Casper Ruud in the quarterfinals.
Second Quarter
Seeded players: Alexander Zverev (4), Daniil Medvedev (5), Holger Rune (13), Alex de Minaur (11), Karen Khachanov (18), Alexander Bublik (19), Tallon Griekspoor (26), Mariano Navone (31).
Sascha Zverev faces a tough first-round match against Rafael Nadal, setting the stage for an exciting start to his campaign. Zverev, recovering from an ankle injury that kept him out for six months, could potentially face Holger Rune and Daniil Medvedev in the later rounds.
Third Quarter
Seeded players: Carlos Alcaraz (3), Andrey Rublev (6), Stefanos Tsitsipas (9), Ben Shelton (15), Ugo Humbert (17), Felix Auger-Aliassime (21), Sebastian Korda (27), Arthur Fils (29).
Carlos Alcaraz starts against JJ Wolf in the third quarter of the draw, with potential matches against Ben Shelton and Andrey Rublev in the later rounds. Alcaraz faces tough competition as he aims for a deep run in the tournament.
