2024 Houston Open ATP Prize Money & Points Overview

Clay court tennis will return to the United States from April 1st to 7th, with the 22nd edition of the Houston Open taking center stage.

As the only tour-level tournament held on the dirt in North America, this ATP 250 event is rich in history. Some of the iconic names in tennis have walked through the gates of the River Oaks Country Club.

The roll of honor includes former World No. 1s like Andy Roddick and Andre Agassi, who have each won multiple titles. There has been a new champion in Houston in each of the past three editions, and it will be interesting to see whether that streak holds.

The entry list for the 2024 edition was released. It features the high-flying Ben Shelton, who will make his debut in Houston, Texas. Tommy Paul, Frances Tiafoe, Christopher Eubanks, and Marcos Giron are among the other Americans in a strong lineup.

Denis Shapovalov has been offered a wild card, while Japanese star Kei Nishikori will use a protected ranking. Youngsters like Luciano Darderi and Alex Michelsen will also look to impress.

The breakdown in prize money and points allocation has been announced. The 28-plyer singles field will battle for a share of $661,385, nearly an 8% decrease from last year’s purse.

But at the same time, there are increments in rounds of the main draw. The champion will make the most money in Houston, banking $100,635. He will also receive 250 ranking points.

The beaten finalist will earn $58,700 and will receive 165 points. Each semifinalist will pocket $34,510, along with 100 points. Quarterfinalists will make a generous return for winning two main draw matches.

Those players will earn $19,995 and receive 50 points. Even those who fail to record a single main draw win will be rewarded $7,095.

However, these players will not receive any ranking points. Be sure to check the complete breakdown of prize money for the 2024 Houston Open below.
