The San Francisco came up just short in Super Bowl LVIII against the Kansas City Chiefs as they narrowly lost in overtime.
San Francisco had a double-digit lead in the first half, but slowed down in the second half and allowed Kansas City to come back and win the game.
Despite the brutal loss, the 49ers are still set up to compete during the 2024 NFL season as the core of their roster remains intact.
The offense features all their key pieces in Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, Deebo Samuel, and Brandon Aiyuk.
With all their core players still on the roster, there’s no reason that San Francisco can’t get back to the Super Bowl.
In fact, oddsmakers are high on the 49ers’ chances next season, per Bear Bets Podcast.
Per a graphic shared via NFL on FOX, the 49ers lead the NFL with +500 odds to win next year’s Super Bowl.

It seems a bit odd to have last year’s Super Bowl runner-up ranked at the top, but it speaks to their consistency the past few years.
It also feels like the oddsmakers are skeptical of the Chiefs’ chances of successfully completing a “three-peat,” though fans likely aren’t going to be betting against Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.
Following San Francisco and Kansas City are the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills, who both lost to the Chiefs in the postseason.
The 49ers have the coaching and talent in place to win Super Bowl LIX, but the team has to find a way to hold onto their leads or else they’ll be in for another embarrassing result.
