The Los Angeles Chargers, fresh off of a dominant win against the Carolina Panthers, are set to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3.

However, Jim Harbaugh’s squad is dealing with some injury woes.

Multiple veteran players, including Pro Bowl quarterback Justin Herbert, Pro Bowl edge rusher Joey Bosa and All-Pro edge rusher Khalil Mack are among nine Chargers on the injury report.

A road game in Pittsburgh might not exactly be the best place to be with all of these piling up.

Herbert (ankle), along with wide receiver Joshua Palmer (elbow/calf), linebacker Bud Dupree (illness), linebacker Junior Colson (hamstring) and cornerback Ja’sir Taylor (fibula) did not participate in practice.

Bosa (hip), along with safety Alohi Gilman (knee), tight end Hayden Hurst (ankle) and Mack (rest) were limited.

The good news for the Chargers is that they are 2-0, including a win against the AFC West rival Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1.

This game against the Steelers could eventually be important for AFC playoff seeding.

As tough as it is, the hope for the Chargers is that they can get these injured players on the field in Week 3.

When it comes to Herbert, Bosa and Mack, Los Angeles needs its best players to be at their best in a pivotal AFC matchup.

Time will tell to see if they will be available or not.

If the Chargers are able to start off with a record of 3-0, that could prove to be very important as the season plays out.
