In 2022, the Philadelphia Eagles made a game-changing move by making a trade with the Tennessee Titans to acquire star wide receiver A.J. Brown, who is widely considered to be one of the best players in the NFL at his position.
The move was thought to give promising young quarterback Jalen Hurts a go-to target downfield, and that’s exactly what happened as Brown went on to have the best season of his career in his first year with the Eagles, catching a career-high 88 passes for 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Brown’s success carried over to the 2023 campaign, as he had another solid year with 106 catches for 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns, but a narrative started to begin with some believing that he was a diva and a potential problem in Philadelphia.
Brown recently addressed those concerns and the false narrative about him on 94WIP Afternoons, claiming he motivates his teammates rather than causing problems in the locker room.
“You see me getting upset on the sideline, and you automatically think it’s about targets,” Brown said. “No, no, what if I’m holding my players accountable? What if I’m the guy who pushes everybody in the locker room?”

With the Eagles having an epic collapse in the second half of the regular season and then flaming out in the first round of the NFL playoffs against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it’s uncertain what the future holds for Brown, as there could be some changes made during the offseason.
There have been rumors flying around that one big-name player on the Eagles won’t be back next season, and some are pointing to Brown, but it remains to be seen if that’s the case.
