Aaron Gordon: Nikola Joker is "just a genius who happens to play basketball"

Following the Denver Nuggets’ victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 3, Aaron Gordon lauded teammate Nikola Jokic as a basketball genius.

In a dominant performance, the Nuggets secured a 112-105 win, showcasing their championship caliber and extending their winning streak over the Lakers to 11 games.

Gordon, who contributed significantly to the victory with 29 points and 15 rebounds, highlighted Jokic’s exceptional basketball IQ and playmaking abilities.

“Joker is a basketball genius. He’s just a genius who happens to play basketball,” Gordon praised. “He makes the game very easy.”

Gordon emphasized Jokic’s unique approach to the game, noting how his strategic mindset enables him to anticipate plays multiple steps ahead.

“When you think the game like that, the game unlocks,” Gordon continued. “You can start seeing plays ahead, two-three steps ahead. You can start to nuance the game a lot. It’s just easy to play.”

Jokic, who recorded 24 points and nine assists in the game, played a pivotal role in guiding the Nuggets to victory and maintaining their momentum in the series.

As the Nuggets look to capitalize on their momentum and secure a series sweep, Jokic’s basketball genius continues to serve as a driving force behind their success.

The Serbian superstar is averaging 27.7 points, 15.7 rebounds, and 8.7 assists in 40 minutes per game in this series.
