Aaron Rodgers shares his thoughts on the 49ers following tough loss

Aaron Rodgers Reveals His Thoughts About 49ers After Loss

The New York Jets failed their first test of the season.

Robert Saleh’s team took the road for a matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, and after the first game of the season, it seems like they’re just not in the same tier.

Aaron Rodgers, however, believes they still have a chance to reach that status this season.

Following the loss, the former MVP called the Niners a ‘championship-caliber group,’ adding that he hopes to see them again in the big game this season (via Jets Videos).

Notably, some experts had this game as a potential Super Bowl preview, and while the outcome was far from encouraging in New York, it could still happen.

The Jets need to make some major tweaks on defense.

Getting Haason Reddick signed should be at the top of their priority list right now, and Robert Saleh needs to have a long and honest talk with his defense on the way back home.

The offense looked solid during stretches, with Breece Hall finding gaps, and Aaron Rodgers getting time to operate in the pocket.

Clearly, all the effort and resources invested in the offensive line paid off, as they were solid for the most part, outside of some avoidable penalties.

The Jets have the talent to get back on track and put this loss in the rearview mirror.

And with all the pressure and the hype around them, they most definitely won’t want this kind of performance to snowball and become a bigger deal than it should be.
