Yunus Musah’s impressive debut season at AC Milan has generated significant interest in him this summer. However, new Rossoneri manager Paulo Fonseca is reportedly not considering any offers for the American midfielder.
According to a report from Tuttosport, AC Milan has rejected several offers from European clubs for Musah. Fonseca plans to deploy Musah in a more defensive role for the upcoming season after taking charge of the team earlier this month.
At 21 years old, Musah joined AC Milan last summer from Valencia in La Liga. In his first season in Italy, he appeared in 40 matches across various competitions, providing two assists.
A product of the Arsenal academy, Musah moved to Valencia’s B team in 2019 before earning his senior team debut in September 2020. During his time at Valencia, he scored five goals in 108 appearances, catching the attention of several European clubs, including AC Milan.
Having switched his international allegiance from England, Musah has become a vital player for the U.S. men’s national team. He has earned 37 caps for the USMNT, participated in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and won the CONCACAF Nations League title thrice.
Fonseca takes over from Stefano Pioli, who guided AC Milan to a second-place finish in Serie A last season.
