Adarabioyo snubs Newcastle to join Chelsea

Adarabioyo rejects Newcastle in favour of Chelsea switch

Chelsea have confirmed that Tosin Adarabioyo will join the club ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Adarabioyo’s contract at Fulham expires later this month and he’ll make the move across the capital on a free transfer.

“Chelsea is pleased to announce centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo will join the club ahead of the 2024/25 season,” a statement read on the club’s official website.

“The 26-year-old has signed a four-year contract – which begins on July 1 – and arrives from west London neighbours Fulham.”

On his move to Chelsea, Adarabioyo said: “Chelsea is a huge club and this is a full-circle moment for me. I was born three miles away from Stamford Bridge and made my professional debut there.

“I’m very excited and looking forward to helping push the club in the direction we want to go.”

Adarabioyo was heavily linked with a move to Newcastle earlier this year, while Tottenham and French side Monaco were courting the former Manchester City trainee last summer.
