As of right now, a few months removed from the end of the 2013 NFL season, the AFC North division is without a doubt the toughest and most competitive division in the league, with four teams that are playoff teams and some that could be legitimate Super Bowl title contenders.
All four teams in the AFC North division finished with winning records last season, with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns and Baltimore all advancing to the NFL playoffs.
Unfortunately for the Cincinnati Bengals, the season-ending injury suffered by superstar quarterback Joe Burrow turned out to be too tough to recover from, as the team finished with a 9-8 record but didn’t make the postseason.
In the aftermath of missing the playoffs and dealing with another costly injury, Burrow has vowed to come back stronger than every game to get his team back to title-contending status in the AFC, which only makes this division that much more competitive next year.
According to ESPN BET, the Bengals will bounce back next season, but Lamar Jackson’s Ravens are the team favored to win the AFC North division title with the Bengals right behind them.
It’ll be a competitive season for the four teams in one of the league’s toughest divisions.

With the Ravens being arguably the best team in football throughout the majority of the 2023 campaign, Baltimore could be even better next season after signing superstar running back Derrick Henry.
The combination of Henry and Jackson in the backfield is a scary thought for opposing defenses, which might be why they are favored to come out on top in the division once again next season.
