Agent Reacts to Reports of Manchester United’s Interest in Loaning Out Antony – Manchester United News and Transfer Updates

"Antony's plan is clear": Agent responds to claims Man United want to loan out his client - Man United News And Transfer News

The agent of Manchester United winger Antony has hit back at claims that the Red Devils are keen on loaning out his client this summer.

Antony joined United from Ajax in an £85million (€100m) deal in 2022. He was Erik ten Hag’s marquee signing but to say the Brazilian has failed to live up to his price tag would be a massive understatement.

The forward has managed just five goals and three assists in 54 Premier League appearances during his time so far with the club.

Last term, he lost his place in the team, with Ten Hag often preferring to start Alejandro Garnacho on the right flank.

Towards the latter stages of the 2023/24 campaign, Amad Diallo made the position his own, further pushing Antony down the pecking order.

In recent weeks, speculation has been rife that United are eager to part ways with Antony, either on loan or a permanent basis.

A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that the “misfiring” star will be allowed to leave on loan if a club is prepared to cover his £70,000-a-week salary.

Earlier today, it emerged that French outfit Lille is a potential transfer destination for Antony as his name cropped up during negotiations for Leny Yoro.

However, according to the 24-year-old’s agent, Junior Pedroso, the player has no intention of leaving United.

Pedroso said (via Fabrizio Romano), “I see reports about potential exit on loan.”

“Antony’s plan is clear: Manchester United.”

He added, “He wants to stay, he’s only focused on Man United.”

“We already spoke about that with the club.”

Antony missed United’s Saturday pre-season clash against Scottish giants Rangers. The club confirmed that he missed the meeting with a “small niggle.”
