Alejandro Garnacho Emerges as Saudi Arabia’s Latest Target in Manchester United Transfer News

Alejandro Garnacho becomes the latest Manchester United star to attract interest from Saudi Arabia - Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United’s financial fair play concerns due to the lack of Champions League football for the forthcoming season has tied INEOS’s hands during this summer’s transfer window.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and company have already made many ambitious moves to reshape United’s football structure, but because of the club’s limited budget it is proving difficult for the hierarchy to show the same level of ambition in the transfer market.

The Red Devils will need to maximise player sales in order to bring in quality recruits to strengthen Erik ten Hag’s squad.

However, apart from Mason Greenwood, no United star has attracted serious offers so far this summer. The United academy product, who spent last season on loan at Getafe, is reportedly wanted by clubs from Italy and Spain.

Now, another academy graduate has supposedly attracted an interest that has the potential to significantly improve United’s transfer war chest.

According to Alkass TV Sports, Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal are keen on signing Alejandro Garnacho this summer from United.

The aforementioned source does not mention what Al Hilal would be willing to offer to test United’s resolve.

Still, considering the lucrative bids Saudi clubs have made in recent times to lure Europe’s biggest talents, the alleged interest, if serious, has the potential to turn into a bid north of £100 million.

While United are very open to selling Greenwood, there is no indication they will entertain any offers for their Argentine sensation.

The 19-year-old, who moved to the club’s academy from Atletico Madrid, only signed a new United contract last year, committing to remain at Old Trafford until 2028.

In the last two seasons, Garnacho has established himself as one of United’s most potent attacking threats and is viewed as an untouchable talent alongside the likes of Rasmus Hojlund and Kobbie Mainoo.

This summer, Garnacho’s stardom and valuation have only soared after Lionel Scaloni decided to reward his form with a call-up to the Argentina squad for the Copa America.
