Alessandro Del Piero urges Jadon Sancho to make Man United return in order to showcase his talent – Latest update on Man United’s transfer activities

Jadon Sancho sends clear message to Man United in scintillating display for Borussia Dortmund vs. Paris Saint-Germain - Man United News And Transfer News

Pundit and former Juventus legend, Alessandro Del Piero has claimed that Jadon Sancho should return to Manchester United.

The case of Sancho has been one of the most talked about issues in the many that have surrounded Old Trafford this season.

After falling out with Erik ten Hag in September, he was ostracised from the squad and sent out on loan to his former side Borussia Dortmund.

While he has been solid in the Bundesliga, the Englishman has come to life in the Champions League, scoring against PSV Eindhoven and putting in a stunning performance last night in the Bundesliga side’s 1-0 first leg win over Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-final.

The winger has been the talk of Europe after the display and it has left many United fans wondering what has gone wrong at Old Trafford that they never saw this version of the player they shelled out £73m for in the summer of 2021.

United legend Dwight Yorke earlier claimed in the week that the 24-year-old was a “baller” and that United should not let the winger leave the club next season.

The Englishman received more support from former player Del Piero when he was working as a pundit for CBS Sports Golazo.

Speaking on the channel’s coverage, he stated, “if a player like him can play these kind of games, with this kind of quality, you need to go to Man United.”

“Next year maybe, one more year, let’s see how he feels, which coach, ok, everything, this kind of player needs to play every year at the top.”

“And Dortmund don’t get me wrong, they deserve to be there, they may go to the final and win the Champions League, but [it would be] something extraordinary for that to happen.”

“With Man United they are supposed to go every year. I know they are struggling, but you have to, you want to achieve with the big clubs and this is the destiny of Man United and the destiny of him at some point.”

“I hope for him that he can go there and perform in that way, with that personality, I really hope so. Otherwise, he can be a great player, but he can really become a champion at United.”

While Dortmund may not agree with the Italian’s view of the situation, he does raise an interesting point.

If Erik ten Hag is sacked at the end of the season, is there a way back for Sancho to finally prove his undoubted talent on the Old Trafford stage?
