The 2024 Major League Baseball postseason is down to its final two teams as the New York Yankees will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series.

Although most people aren’t surprised by the two teams in the World Series, there were some major upsets this postseason.

The New York Mets made a magical postseason run when they eliminated the Milwaukee Brewers in the wild-card series and the Philadelphia Phillies in the National League Division Series.

MLB legend Alex Rodriguez said he believes the future is bright for the Mets in coming seasons.

“If you’re the Mets, and they’re a stock, I’m buying as much as I can right now,” Rodriguez said, via FOX Sports: MLB.

Rodriguez appears to believe in the Mets organization from top to bottom and that they will be a force in the coming seasons.

This was the fifth time the Mets have made the postseason since 2001, and they have reached the World Series just once in that span (2015).

The Mets did not look like they would make the 2024 postseason in June but were able to turn things around and advance all the way to the NLCS.

Rodriguez likes the Mets odds in the coming seasons with Francisco Lindor playing some of his best baseball and Mark Vientos cementing his name among the up-and-coming stars in the game.

The Mets will be an interesting team to watch this offseason to see if they make any major moves to try to get over the hump and into the World Series in 2025.
