Mersin BBGSK (BSL) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old 206cm power forward Emre Tanisan for season 2024-25. Tanisan played most recently at Petkim (BSL). BSL was a little too high level for him, where in 31 games he recorded just 1.6ppg and 1.0rpg last season. TBL will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Tofas (also in BSL). In 23 games he averaged 3.9ppg and 2.6rpg in that year. He also played 9 games in Basketball Champions League where he had 3.9ppg and 1.9rpg in that year.
Tanisan represented Turkey at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Tel-Aviv (Israel) five years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 4.9ppg, 4.9rpg, 1.1spg.
He has played previously for four other teams: Gemlik, Bursaspor, Tofas Gelisim and Balikesir.
His team won Turkish TBL Regular Season in 2019.
