Alleged Retirement Rumors Prompt Reaction from Al Horford’s Sister

Horford

Al Horford, at 38 years old, has addressed rumors about his potential retirement from the NBA, along with his sister Anna Horford.

Having recently won a championship with the Celtics in his 17th season, there have been questions about whether he will continue playing or retire.

However, both Horford and his sister seem to indicate that retirement is not on the horizon.

Anna Horford defended her brother, stating that rumors of his retirement were odd given his significant role in the Celtics’ success.

On Sunday, Horford himself addressed the retirement rumors and confirmed that he intends to return for another season.

He expressed confusion about how the rumors started and stated that he is already planning for the upcoming season.

Horford mentioned that he will begin training in a few weeks to prepare for the next season.

When asked about his long-term plans in the NBA, Horford mentioned that he feels good and wants to continue playing while being cautious about managing his body throughout the season.

Currently under contract with the Celtics for the next season on a $9.5 million salary, Horford played a crucial role in the Finals, especially in the absence of the team’s regular center, Kristaps Porzingis.
