The New Orleans Saints offense was the talk of the NFL through two weeks of the 2024 NFL season as it lit up the scoreboard en route to convincing victories.

However, things quickly fell apart shortly thereafter as the Saints have dealt with injuries to key offensive players including Derek Carr, Chris Olave, and Rashid Shaheed.

New Orleans is now 2-5 and coming off its worst loss of the season as it was throttled by the Denver Broncos and former head coach Sean Payton at home while opening Week 7 on “Thursday Night Football.”

With the NFL trade deadline approaching, teams are circling the Saints as a potential team looking to sell off key pieces.

One name that’s come up is Alvin Kamara, who was the subject of trade rumors after he reportedly asked out.

The star running back recently clarified where he stands with the organization.

“I [ain’t] request a trade … so that’s a lie. I’m in an orange robe on the way to Knoxville,” Kamara posted on X.

The University of Tennessee product may have shut down any sort of trade chatter as he seems committed to playing out the season with the Saints despite their struggles.

Even though the Saints offense has been a mess the past few weeks, Kamara has done as much as he can to keep it afloat.

A great runner in space and a receiving threat out of the backfield, Kamara is one of the best overall running backs in the league.

However, even he will find it difficult to carry them to a win until the roster around him gets healthy.
