American Abroad: Christian Pulisic and Haji Wright Shine as Goal Scorers

Christian Pulisic, Haji Wright among goalscorers in Americans Abroad action


Christian Pulisic continues to showcase his scoring abilities, finding the back of the net for the sixth time this season as AC Milan defeated Club Brugge 3-1 in UEFA Champions League action on Tuesday. The U.S. men’s national team star has been involved in 11 of his 13 appearances for club and country.

Pulisic’s olimpico goal from a corner kick gave AC Milan a 1-0 lead in the 34th minute. Despite Club Brugge equalizing in the 51st minute, Tijani Reijnders scored twice to secure the win for AC Milan.

In another match, Haji Wright scored for Coventry City in a 1-1 draw with QPR, earning the Sky Blues a point. Brenden Aaronson also found the back of the net for Leeds United in a 2-1 victory over Watford, extending their unbeaten run. Duane Holmes and Josh Sargent faced off in a 2-2 draw between Preston North End and Norwich City.

Next, AC Milan will visit Bologna, Coventry City will face Luton Town, Leeds United travels to Bristol City, Preston North End visits Plymouth Argyle, and Norwich City hosts Middlesbrough.
