Ramat Hasharon (National League) added to their roster 28-year-old American point guard Akaemji Williams (175cm-1996, college: LSSU) for the new 2024-25 season. Williams joins another USA player Ira Lee who is already in the roster.
He played last season at Rouen Metropole Basket in French ProB. In 38 games, he recorded 13.6ppg, 2.6rpg, 4.8apg, and 2.1spg (ranking in top 2). He helped them reach the semifinals and was named League Player of the Week and voted to Eurobasket.com All-French ProB Third Team.
In the previous (2022-23) season, he played at Etoile Angers (also in ProB) where he averaged 11.1ppg, 2.9rpg, 7.7apg (leader), and 1.9spg (leader) in 27 games. He was instrumental in his team winning the Cup and was selected Eurobasket.com All-French ProB Defensive Player of the Year.
Williams has also played professionally in Garonne and graduated from Lake Superior State University in 2018. This season will mark his seventh as a professional player.
