Aliaga Petkimspor Izmir (BSL) landed 21-year old 193cm point guard Murat Kuntker (college: WOSC) for a new season. It is actually his comeback to Petkimspor as he has played here before. Kuntker played most recently at Mersin BBGSK in the Turkish TBL league. In 33 games, he averaged 5.9ppg and 1.5rpg last season. He helped them to win the TBL title. Kuntker also played for Petkimspor that season. But in two BSL games, he had just 1.0ppg.
He represented Turkey at the FIBA U20 European Championship in Greece last year. His stats at that event were 7 games: 6.3ppg, 1.4apg, FGP: 39.1%, 3PT: 31.8%, FT: 71.4%.
Kuntker graduated from Western Oklahoma State College in 2022, and it is his third season in pro basketball.
