Onvo Buyukcekmece Basketbol (BSL) tabbed 29-year old Belgian-American ex-international 208cm forward Michael Gilmore (college: VCU) for new season. Gilmore was about to sign at E.Ashkelon in Israeli National League. He was a member of Belgian Senior National Team in 2020.
Gilmore is a very experienced player. Thanks to pro basketball, he has experienced life in nine different countries, playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, and North American leagues. Gilmore has played previously professionally in China, Germany, Greece, Mexico, Sweden, Italy, Belgium, NBA G League, and The Basketball Tournament. Among many awards, he was voted to Eurobasket.com Swedish Basketligan All-Imports Team in 2023.
He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2019 and it is his sixth season in pro basketball. Gilmore played also for Florida Gulf Coast University for one year.
