Defending champion Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana (Liga Nova KBM) agreed terms with 21-year old forward Ziga Daneu (201cm-2002) for new 2024-25 season. It is actually his comeback to Ljubljana as he has played here before. Daneu played last season at Helios Suns (Liga Nova KBM). In 32 games he had 6.7ppg, 5.1rpg and 1.5apg. He helped them to make it to both league and Supercup final after they ended regular season as second best team. Daneu also played 12 games in ABA League where he recorded just 2.5ppg and 2.0rpg.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Ilirija. In 28 Liga Nova KBM games he averaged 10.2ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.2apg in that year. He also played 5 games in Alpe Adria Cup where he got 6.6ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.6apg and 1.6bpg in that year.
Daneu represented Slovenia at the FIBA U20 European Championship in Podgorica (Montenegro) two years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 3.4ppg, 2.6rpg.
He has played previously for three other teams: Petrol Olimpija Ljubljana U18 team, Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana mladi and Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana U18 team.
