OGM Ormanspor Genclik Ankara (TBL) landed experienced 34-year old American 183cm guard Troy Franklin (college: Coppin State) for upcoming season. Franklin is not a newcomer in Turkish League as he played most recently at Kapakli Spor in TB2L. He helped his team get promotion to TBL. In 31 games he was league’s fourth best scorer with impressive 21.9ppg and recorded 3.5rpg, 8.2apg (top 3) and 1.8spg (in top 5) last season. A very good year in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TBL Honorable Mention.

The previous (2022-23) season he played at Bornova where in 16 TBL games he averaged remarkable 18.7ppg, 2.8rpg, 6.7apg (top 4) and 1.8spg in that year. Franklin also played for Budivelnyk in Ukrainian league that season. In two FIBA Europe Cup games he had high stats: 18.0ppg, 2.5rpg, 4.5apg and 2.0spg in that year. He also played 2 games in European North Basketball League where he got 7.0ppg, 1.5rpg, 3.0apg and 1.0spg in that year. The other team he played shortly was GTK in Polish OBL. In 5 games he got 9.8ppg, 1.6rpg, 4.4apg and 1.2spg in that year.

Franklin is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Bulgaria (Akademik Plovdiv), Denmark (Naestved), Lithuania (Jonava), Romania (Timisoara and Craiova), Slovenia (Primorska) and PBL (Lake Michigan).

Among many awards he played in the final of PBL in 2015. Franklin was selected to Eurobasket.com Romanian League All-Imports Team back in 2020.

He graduated from Coppin State in 2013 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball. Franklin played also for Towson University for 3 years.
