Maccabi Rehovot (National League) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 34-year old, 203cm center Igor Nesterenko for season 2024-25. Nesterenko is the second import player in the roster as USA Demetrius Treadwell signed here earlier.
He has played for the last two years at M.Rishon. In 19 National League games he recorded 9.3ppg, 2.9rpg and 1.2apg last season.
He was a member of Israeli U20 National Team back in 2010.
He has spent his entire career in Israel playing for four other teams: Ironi Nahariya, Elitzur Yavne, Ironi Nes Ziona and Hapoel Haifa. His team made it to the Premier League Semifinals in 2011, 2012 and 2015.
Among many awards he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Israeli National League Center of the Year back in 2020.
