Analysis of USMNT vs. Canada 2024 Friendly: Player ratings from the community

USA vs. Brazil, 2024 Friendly: Community player ratings

It was the first USMNT match since Gregg Berhalter was released following the Copa America though we aren’t in a new era just yet as the new permanent manager has yet to be officially named. The squad called in wasn’t full strength as several members of the defense and midfield are missing camp due to injury or to integrate with clubs they’ve recently joined but interim manager Mikey Varas named a squad that was largely as expected, the most significant change being Patrick Shulte taking the place of Matt Turner in goal. The game was not easy on the eyes as the neighbors from the North took a 2-0 lead before a Luca de la Torre goal (that was probably offside) brought the US back within one. The match would end there with the teams exchanging a few half chances by the US and a fair bit of chippiness and Concacafery from Canada.

However, instead of giving you our player ratings, we want to know what you think. Below is a ratings form for you to fill out with ratings for each USMNT player’s performance. After a day/night of voting, we’ll tabulate the ratings and reveal them with the top rated player being named Stars and Stripes FC’s Man of the Match. Feel free to head down to the comment section and leave your thoughts on the match as a whole or give your detailed explanation of your ratings.
