AE Psychiko Athens (Elite League) signed 25-year-old 201cm power forward Demetrious Marghellis for the upcoming season. Marghellis most recently played for GS Ermis Shimatariou, where he averaged 3.7ppg and 4.2rpg in 33 Elite League games last season, helping them reach the semifinals.
In the 2022-23 season, he played for Maroussi, recording 4.3ppg, 3.0rpg, 1.8apg, and 1.1spg in 10 Elite League games.
Marghellis has previous professional experience in Lithuania and Greece, playing for teams such as Ethnikos, KAP Agia Paraskevis, Kymis, and Charilaos. He won the Greek A2 championship title in 2020.
