There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in ProA U21. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Nancy (29-4) on the court of fourth ranked Bourg on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Bourg 78-66. Bourg had a 13-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Guard Leon Sifferlin (196-2008) stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners and guard Anatole Humeau (193-2002) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was Nolan Kingue (196-2003) with 16 points and 4 assists. Bourg (22-11) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain fourth place, which they share with Gravelines. Nancy at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Bourg is looking forward to face Limoges (#7) on the road in the next round. Nancy will play against Gravelines (#5) and is hoping to win this game.

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Nanterre (23-10) against eleventh ranked Dijon (19-14) on Saturday night. Host Nanterre was defeated by Dijon in Nanterre 81-65. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Nanterre. Nathan Vincennes (200-2003) nailed 19 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and Hugo Marin-Birkener accounted for 17 points and 5 assists. Guard Timeo Pons (200-2006) came up with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for Nanterre in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dijon moved-up to tenth place, which they share with ASVEL. Nanterre at the other side keeps the second position with ten games lost. They share it with Monaco. Dijon will play against Le Mans (#12) at home in the next round. Nanterre will play against Levallois (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

A very close game took place in Le Mans between Le Mans and Limoges. Twelfth ranked Le Mans (16-17) got a very close home victory over higher ranked Limoges (20-13). Le Mans managed to escape with a 3-point win 80-77 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. The best player for the winners was Bastien Grasshoff who scored 23 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Yannick Nkombou who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Le Mans maintains twelfth place with 16-17 record. Loser Limoges keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Le Mans will meet higher ranked Dijon (#10) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Limoges will play against Bourg (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 33: St-Quentin won against Chalon/Saone on the opponent’s court 83-76. Gravelines managed to outperform Levallois in a home game 92-78. Bottom-ranked Le Portel was rolled over ASVEL on the road 106-47. Monaco defeated Cholet on its own court 78-71. Roanne smashed Paris BA in a road game 100-79. Strasbourg won against Blois at home 101-88. Gravelines outscored ASVEL on the opponent’s court 93-71. The most impressive stats of the last round was 24 points and 17 rebounds by Hugo Boumpoutou of Gravelines.
