Bertram Yachts Derthona Tortona (Serie A) signed 27-year-old American 188cm guard Christian Vital (college: UConn) for the upcoming season. Vital played this summer at Henan Shedianlaojiu in the Chinese NBL league. He played in four leagues in two countries last year. First, he played at Legia in the Polish OBL, where he was the top scorer with 19.7ppg, along with 4.2rpg, 3.0apg, and 2.1spg. He also played in the FIBA Europe Cup, averaging 21.9ppg, 4.6rpg, 2.8apg, and 2.3spg, contributing to his team’s success in reaching the quarterfinals. Additionally, he played two games in the Basketball Champions League, with stats of 15.0ppg, 4.5rpg, 3.0apg, and 3.5spg.
Vital, an experienced player, has also played professionally in Canada, Germany, NBA G League, and NBA Summer League. He won the CEBL championship title in 2022, and this upcoming season will be his fifth in professional basketball.
