In the final round of the Regular Season in ProA, leader Gladiators secured their twenty-eighth win by defeating 12th ranked Vechta-2 (104-78) in Trier. Trier dominated the game, outrebounding Vechta 44-24 and dishing out 31 assists compared to Vechta 2’s 12. The standout performer for Gladiators was American guard Marcus Graves, who contributed 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists. Trier’s Maik Zirbes added 11 points and 8 rebounds. On the losing side, point guard Kevin Smit scored 17 points for Vechta 2. Gladiators have now won seven games in a row and maintain the top spot in the standings.

In another notable game, fifth-ranked Phoenix Hagen defeated fourth-placed Science City Jena 79-69, halting Jena’s three-game winning streak. American players played a key role in the game, with guard Siler Schneider leading Phoenix Hagen with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. For Science City Jena, Blake Francis put up 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Despite rotating ten players, Jena was unable to secure the win, dropping to the fifth position in the standings.

Skyliners outrebounded Kirchheim 45-31 on their way to victory. American guard Michael Flowers was the standout performer for Kirchheim with 19 points and 5 assists in a losing effort.

Other games in the round played out as expected, with Giessen defeating Bochum, Bayreuth beating Paderborn, Nuernberg losing to Karlsruhe PS, Muenster outperforming Koblenz, Bremerhaven falling to Dresden, Artland losing to Duesseldorf, and Vechta 2 defeating Koblenz. Luc Van Slooten of Vechta 2 put up an impressive stat line of 17 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals in the round.

Giessen secured a 90-76 victory over Bochum, maintaining third place in the standings. Giessen will face Dresden in the next round. Phoenix Hagen’s win over Science City Jena propelled them to the fourth position, while Jena dropped to fifth place. Skyliners’ victory over Kirchheim keeps them in second place in the standings, with Kirchheim holding onto the sixth position.
