Round 5 most important game was a defeat of league’s leader Orlovik (4-4). They were crushed by fifth-ranked Prijedor (4-4) 104-84 on Wednesday night. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Prijedor dominated down low during the game, scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Orlovik’s 34 and made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Orlovik 38-18, including a 13-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Prijedor looked well-organized offensively, handing out 23 assists. Naturalized Serbian Sinisa Sorak (209-2002) stepped up and scored 25 points and 7 rebounds on 10-of-13 shooting from the field for the winners. Serbian point guard Nemanja Stankovic (181-2000) chipped in 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists, going a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line. Guard Anes Podojak (191-2000, agency: PEPI SPORT) responded with 26 points. Both coaches used bench players, allowing the starters a little rest for the next games. Prijedor moved up to the second place, which they share with three other teams, including the defeated Orlovik.

The game had significant importance for the third-ranked Leotar as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Leotar defeated second-ranked Slavija in Trebinje 110-93, ending the three-game winning streak of Slavija. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Naturalized Serbian guard Stefan Adzic (197-1999) nailed 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side, while Stefan Glogovac accounted for 19 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Srdjan Jovanovic (198-2001) had 28 points and 8 rebounds for Slavija in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Leotar has a solid series of four victories in a row, taking over the top position.

Undefeated Igokea (3-1) recorded its first loss in Sarajevo on Wednesday night, falling to fifth-ranked Bosna (2-2) 82-76. It ended Igokea’s three-game winning streak. The best player for the winners was Jure Zubac, who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Jackie Carmichael produced a double-double for the guests with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. Bosna moved up to third place, sharing it with Borac and Siroki. Defending champion Igokea still holds the top position with one game lost, sharing it with Sloboda.

In the last game of Round 5, Promo lost to Posusje on the opponent’s court 78-95.
