Analyst Asserts Lack of Interest in Young QB Available for Trade

Analyst Says 'Nobody Wants' 1 Young QB On Trade Block

As a professional American football journalist, it’s evident that Jets backup quarterback Zach Wilson isn’t highly sought after in the league. With three underwhelming seasons under his belt, trade talks involving Wilson have surfaced this offseason. However, teams are hesitant to pursue him, given his unimpressive 23/25 touchdown-to-interception ratio over the past three years.

NFL analyst Ross Tucker recently weighed in on the possibility of Zach Wilson being traded, expressing that there is minimal interest in him. Despite being just 24 years old and having gained some experience playing behind Aaron Rodgers, Wilson’s on-field performance has not impressed many. His $5.4 million guaranteed salary for this year further complicates any potential trade discussions.

While Wilson may still possess some skills that could be valuable to a team like the Pittsburgh Steelers or Detroit Lions, his lackluster performance suggests that he may only be worth a late-round pick at this stage of his career. A change of scenery might be beneficial for the former BYU star, as his current level of play does not merit his substantial salary.

Teams have been able to evaluate Wilson’s capabilities, and the consensus seems to be that he has yet to prove himself as a reliable starting quarterback in the NFL. Moving forward, Wilson will need to demonstrate significant improvement to garner serious interest from potential trade partners.
