Analyst Blasts NFL Teams For Ignoring Lamar Jackson This Past Offseason

Barring a disaster, the Baltimore Ravens will be the No. 1 seed in the AFC, and Lamar Jackson will be the league’s Most Valuable Player.

None of that should come as a surprise, as Jackson is a former MVP who’s still in his prime, and the Ravens have one of the most stacked teams in the game on both sides of the field.

Nonetheless, it’s still crazy to think that none of this could’ve happened if a single team had stepped up and shown any sort of interest in Jackson’s services.

That’s why NFL analyst Craig Carton put the league on blast, as the Ravens pretty much made Jackson available, and he’s now proving that he was more than worthy of those two first-round picks the Ravens would’ve gotten for him (via The Carton Show).

Many players and fans believe the league colluded and scapegoated Jackson.

They believe they were trying to drive the quarterback market down, which is why they actively claimed that they weren’t even interested in his services.

The Ravens and Jackson eventually worked things out, and he ended up getting the kind of contract he deserved, but what kind of message did teams send when they actively said that they didn’t want him?

Teams like the Atlanta Falcons, Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Commanders, and Las Vegas Raiders could’ve all been in the postseason mix with Jackson under center.

Fortunately for him, it all worked out in the end, but this is a ruthless business, and he better keep those receipts.
