The Los Angeles Dodgers signed Yoshinobu Yamamoto for $325 million over 12 years in the offseason. Yamamoto, a pitcher who boasted a 1.21 ERA in his last season in Japan, has struggled in MLB with a 4.50 ERA. Despite two scoreless outings, he has given up 11 earned runs in his other three games. MLB analyst Chris Towers shared an image showing that Yamamoto has been consistently hitting the middle of the strike zone with his pitches. While he has good control with only five walks against 30 strikeouts, his command needs improvement. Yamamoto needs to work on hitting the corners to minimize loud contact in order to find success in the MLB.
