Robert Saleh is now out after three seasons as the New York Jets’ head coach, and the debate has begun on whether they were right to fire him.

An argument could be made that without a missed field goal against the Denver Broncos and a late intercepted pass from quarterback Aaron Rodgers against the Minnesota Vikings, the Jets would be 4-1 right now.

But the team definitely has issues, and according to CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco, those issues start with Rodgers.

Rodgers is an exceptional quarterback but has faced criticism for exerting too much power over his teams in recent years.

He started wanting more control over play-calling decisions during his last seasons with the Green Bay Packers.

Rodgers, with 1,093 passing yards, seven touchdown passes, four interceptions, and a 61.0 percent pass completion rate, has seen a decline from his prime years.

His injury history, combined with years of wear and tear, has likely affected his performance on the field.

The Jets currently rank 25th in points scored and 27th in total yards.
