Analyst Criticizes Quarterback’s Performance as Hard to Watch in Current State

Analyst Believes 1 NFL Team Has No Chance Of Success This Season

One NFL player who is feeling the heat right now is Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson.

In his first game action since injuring his shoulder last season, Watson had a rough performance.

Against a really good Dallas Cowboys defense, the former national champion was anything but championship-level as he went 24 of 45 passing for 169 yards and a touchdown but also threw multiple interceptions.

NFL analyst Greg Cosell had some critical words for Watson’s play.

“He is just not a very good player at all. He’s not seeing it. He gets stuck in the pocket…He is a difficult watch right now,” Cosell recently said on the Ross Tucker Podcast.

It seems as though Watson is far from his old Houston Texans self.

When he played for the Texans early on in his career, he was a three-time Pro-Bowler and one of the best players in the game.

He also took the Texans to multiple playoff appearances.

Now, it seems like he is struggling to simply find consistency in Cleveland.

In his entire Browns career, which spans just 13 games, he has a QBR of just 40.4.

The offense itself, when completely healthy, has great weapons in the form of Amari Cooper, David Njoku, Jerry Jeudy, and Nick Chubb.

But with now two of those players dealing with injuries, Watson has to shoulder even more of a load.

Kicking off the season with a 33-17 defeat where you barely complete 50% of your passes isn’t exactly the best way to win the hearts of Browns fans.

The clock might be ticking on Watson as the starter.
