There’s a lot of excitement among New York Jets fans, and rightfully so.

This time around, Aaron Rodgers might be able to actually play for them, and that gives them a big opportunity to do something special next season.

Rodgers isn’t particularly the most beloved figure around the league, as he’s embraced a villain persona over the past three years or so, and his antics and alternative views have rubbed some people the wrong way.

Nonetheless, not even his biggest critic could deny that he’s one of the absolute best quarterbacks to ever lace them up.

That’s why as much as some people want to sleep on the Jets, others remind them that Rodgers is a four-time MVP who was still one of the best in the game the last time he was healthy.

However, Chris Canty believes it might not take long for that narrative to change.

He predicted that the Jets could ‘get smoked’ on the road in the season opener vs. the San Francisco 49ers, and then, they might also lose to the Tennessee Titans on a short week.

Should that be the case, he wouldn’t be shocked to see him side-eyeing his teammates and whatnot, putting an end to the narrative of him being such a great teammate.

Only time will tell how this experiment will pan out, but for now, there’s no reason to believe the Jets can’t make a lot of noise next season.
