Time is running out for Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
As great a coach as he is, it seems like the fans are losing their patience, and just having a non-losing season won’t get the job done anymore.
It’s time the Steelers start winning some playoff games, and it’s become painfully evident that they’re going to need a better quarterback to do so.
They’re currently the odds-on favorite to land both Justin Fields and Russell Wilson, and if oddsmakers know something we don’t, it seems like the latter could be the likeliest option.
With that in mind, former NFL star WR Victor Cruz made a rather bold prediction about Steelers football next season.
Talking on The Carton Show, the former New York Giants wideout predicted that the Steelers would win the AFC North Division if they acquire Russell Wilson.
“If Russell Wilson goes to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Steelers win the division next year,” Cruz said.
“If Russell Wilson goes to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the #Steelers win the division next year.”

Needless to say, this is a bit of a hot take, considering that Wilson hasn’t been the same player since he left the Seattle Seahawks.
On top of that, the AFC North is one of the most competitive divisions in the game right now, with Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens, Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals, and Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns.
We all know what Mike Tomlin is capable of, and he’s found success despite some subpar quarterback play, so he could be a legitimate threat if he gets anything out of his next QB.
