The Buffalo Bills cannot afford a setback on Sunday.
Sean McDermott’s team needs to be almost perfect down the stretch if they want to make te playoffs and have a shot at winning their division.
That’s why facing the Dallas Cowboys might not exactly be what the doctor ordered.
As pointed out by NFL insider Mina Kimes, the Bills currently rank 31st in passer rating allowed, 30th in success rate, and 26th in EPA/play vs. passes in the middle of the field since they lost Matt Milano.

Needless to say, that’s terrible news against a Cowboys team that does most of its damage with these kinds of passes.
Dak Prescott has been the best quarterback in the game this season.
CeeDee Lamb is a perennial threat out of the slot, and he’s now also getting Brandin Cooks and Jake Ferguson involved.
The Cowboys have way too many weapons in the passing game, and Prescott is playing at the best level in his career.
Mike McCarthy’s team scores points on 53% of their drives and only turns the ball over on 7% of them.
They can push the pace by putting up explosive plays, and Prescott is playing with MVP-like confidence.
Of course, Josh Allen can also go toe-to-toe with Prescott or any other quarterback in the league, and the Bills have more than enough offensive resources to keep the pace up with the Cowboys.
But their defense will have to take a major step forward if they want to stand a chance against the 10-3 Cowboys.
