Analyst Offers Season Outlook for the New York Jets

Analyst Makes A Prediction About The Jets This Season

The New York Jets have officially entered Super Bowl or bust mode.

Anything short of a trip to the last game of the season may be considered a failure, and depending on how things go, it might even cost HC Robert Saleh his job.

That’s how serious things are in Gotham right now.

That’s also why Craig Carton believes there’s no doubt that they’ll make the playoffs this season.

Talking on The Carton Show, he stated that as long as Aaron Rodgers stays upright—which he admitted was no guarantee—the Jets should have absolutely no problem making the playoffs.

He claimed that the Jets have a top-three or top-four defense, a revamped offensive line, and depth at wide receiver, so it wasn’t the fan in him talking.

The Jets will have to deal with the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills twice each next season, but the Bills should regress, and the Dolphins have a history of shortcomings in big moments, particularly late in the year.

They have arguably the best roster in the division.

Nonetheless, unlike the NFC, the AFC could be a bit of a bloodbath next season, and Aaron Rodgers has also left plenty to be desired in the playoffs over the past decade or so.

It’s now or never for the Jets, and given the way they have doubled down on their future Hall of Famer quarterback, they have no choice but to aim for the big prize.
