Analyst Predicts Brandon Aiyuk’s Future Contract

Brandon Aiyuk Doesn't Hold Back His Thoughts On Contract Situation

The San Francisco 49ers and Brandon Aiyuk haven’t been able to reach an agreement on a new deal yet.

And, judging by the latest reports, it might not happen at all.

Aiyuk has tried to push the Niners’ buttons for months now, and the team might be finally reaching their breaking point.

Just like Deebo Samuel did in the past, Aiyuk has formally requested a trade.

However, unlike with Deebo, the Niners might feel like he’s not worth the trouble.

With that in mind, Spotrac co-founder and editor Michael Ginnitti revealed the projected contract Aiyuk could get.

Per Ginnitti, he’s projected to get a four-year contract extension worth $104 million, including $66 million guaranteed.

That would make him the eighth-highest average-paid wide receiver in football at $26 million per year.

According to reports, the Niners made him that offer, yet he’s allegedly looking to get at least $30 million a season.

Aiyuk is one of the best route-runners in the game and he’s coming off an outstanding season, even being selected to the All-Pro team.

Then again, the Niners have to prioritize, as they’ve stacked their roster with talent and can only keep so many of them happy.

They’re looking to give Brock Purdy a substantial contract extension, and with Samuel, George Kittle, and Christian McCaffrey already taking up a big chunk of the salary cap, they might have no choice but to part ways with Aiyuk.

Now, whether another team will be willing to meet his steep demands remains to be seen.
