Bryce Young struggled for the woeful Carolina Panthers in 2023; of that, there is no doubt.

Many expected the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner out of Alabama to set the league on fire and become the latest young superstar to shine in the NFL universe.

But the Young-led Panthers stumbled to a 2-15 record, and much of the blame went to the new signal caller.

The rookie fell short of a 60% completion rate and managed to throw only 11 touchdown passes against ten interceptions.

But it is far too early to give up on the first-round draft choice, and many experts believe Young is on the cusp of putting his dismal start behind him and leading a revival in Carolina.

Analyst Bucky Brooks, via Around the NFL, chose Young as one of his players who will break out during the 2024 season.

Brooks noted that the Panthers brought in new head coach Dave Canales, who is widely respected as a quarterback mentor and noted for his success in turning around the flailing fortunes of Baker Mayfield in Tampa.

Plus, the team took notable steps through free agency and the draft to improve its wide receiver corps, which should pay dividends for Young’s chances at a bounce-back season.

There is no riskier proposition in pro sports than predicting the success or failure of an NFL quarterback, but one season is far too quick to give up on Young.

His pedigree is solid, and the team looks to implement a system that will play to his considerable strengths in Carolina.

A bounce-back season may be precisely what Panthers fans will witness this fall.
