There are a lot of divisions in the NFL that have the chance to be great over the next few years.

The NFC North with Jordan Love and the Packers, Jared Goff and the Lions, along with some unexpected growth from the Vikings and Bears, could be the best division in the league this year.

Or, what about the AFC North?

The Ravens, Steelers, Bengals and Browns all seem to be playing musical chairs seeing that they all made the playoffs last season.

Perhaps the NFC West could be a stacked division, especially if the Cardinals give the Rams, 49ers and Seahawks a run for their money.

However, ESPN analyst Emerson Lotzia has an idea of who the toughest division in the league could be in the future.

“The AFC South is the division of the future in the NFL…it could arguably be, in the next few years, the toughest division in football,” Lotzia said recently on GoJo and Golic.

He might be right, especially with what each of the four teams have done recently.

The Jaguars won the division two years ago with a healthy Trevor Lawrence.

Houston won it last year after the rise of impressive rookie C.J. Stroud.

If the Colts didn’t lose to the Texans in the final week of the season on a dropped pass, they would have made the playoffs instead.

Finally, the Titans might be the biggest sleeper in the NFL after they added key offensive pieces earlier this offseason in Pro Bowl back Tony Pollard, former All-Pro receiver Calvin Ridley, and former 1,000-yard receiver Tyler Boyd.

Not to mention the fact that they already have All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins in the fold to catch passes from second-year quarterback Will Levis.

This division has all the making of a brutal one in the coming years.
