Chicago Bears fans have to be ecstatic with how the 2024 NFL Draft has gone as the team has done well to restock the roster with talented players.
The first overall pick was a no-brainer as the Bears took Caleb Williams, the presumptive favorite to go No. 1 all year long.
With Williams under center, the Bears have their quarterback of the future, though they also made sure to give him support by taking Rome Odunze and Kiran Amegadjie on offense.
Meanwhile, they also took a great punter in Tory Taylor as well as traded up for a solid edge rusher in Austin Booker.
The new additions lend optimism to the idea that the franchise is on its way up and Jacob Infante of Windy City Gridiron outlined how this impacts them going forward.
“If the #Bears develop these guys properly, this is what they got in the 2024 NFL Draft: • Their franchise QB • Their future WR1 • A quality OL starter • One of the best punters in the NFL • A talented starting EDGE. The upside with this draft class is out of this world,” Infante said.
There’s no denying that Chicago is in a much better position following the draft as they addressed all their pressing needs.
Williams is the headliner and for good reason, but Odunze, Amegadjie, Taylor, and Booker can all contribute in their rookie seasons as well.
The NFC North will have stiff competition in 2024, but the Bears aren’t going to be the laughingstock of their division much longer with this new group of players coming.
