The Dallas Cowboys haven’t been particularly good at winning playoff games for decades now.

Nonetheless, they’ve been better than anybody at capitalizing and maximizing their value, while making unimaginable sums of money.

Now, with Jerry Jones not getting any younger and the team entering a potential transition year, there has been some speculation about the team’s future.

With that in mind, sports analyst Craig Carton says that Jones might be bracing himself to sell the team.

Talking on The Carton Show, he claimed that he would not be surprised if Jones reached out to big hedge funds to try and find the largest check ever given to the owner of an American sports team.

It makes sense.

He’s not particularly young, and the team could find itself in the midst of a rebuild sooner rather than later.

Jones has been reluctant to meet Dak Prescott’s or CeeDee Lamb’s market value in contract extensions.

He didn’t give his quarterback any new weapons or did him any favors ahead of a contract year, and some believe he’s trying to see just how good they can be this season and blow things up if they don’t get the job done.

Jones knows how to make a buck, and the Cowboys are the most valuable franchise in all of sports.

And with all the hard work that comes with calling all the shots for an NFL team, it might make more sense for him to take a step back and cash in the earnings of the best business endeavor he ever got into.
