Analyst Believes Zach Wilson Has A Chance To Start For Broncos

The Denver Broncos started the NFL offseason with a few moves that shook up their roster.

Among the notable moves, of course, was the departure of Russell Wilson, who is now a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Wilson was supposed to come in and help the team get better, hoping to lead them on a substantial playoff run.

However, his first few seasons with the team didn’t go to plan, making the team consider a change.

Not only did they make a change by letting Wilson walk in the offseason, but they also added Zach Wilson into the fold ahead of the NFL Draft.

Wilson struggled to gain traction with the New York Jets, and when the Broncos took Bo Nix in the first round, many fans thought the trade for him was a mistake.

However, amid this controversy and confusion, Kay Adams recently pointed something out, as shared by FanDuel TV on Twitter

“They wouldn’t have made the move if it wasn’t going to be a competition,” Adams said, adding, “I 100 percent believe coach. He is going to go with whoever gives him the best shot.”

Adams is under the impression that, despite Nix’s draft capital, the Broncos will do everything possible to put their best team on the field.

It isn’t in Sean Payton’s DNA to choose a starter due to their status or social acumen, but rather, to pick a player due to what they can do on the gridiron.

With that in mind, the QB competition between Nix and Wilson will likely continue for the foreseeable future, which could make for an exciting lead-up to the regular season.
