The Indianapolis Colts shocked a lot of people in Shane Steichen’s first season.
Despite having Gardner Minshew behind center for most of the campaign, they were still in the running for the AFC South Division title for most of the season.
That’s why now that Anthony Richardson will be back to full strength, NFL analyst Gennaro Filice believes they’re going to have one of the most proficient offenses in the game.
So proficient that they could be a top-10 scoring team in the league:
” Given the immense growth Jalen Hurts experienced with Steichen as his offensive coordinator in Philadelphia, it’s impossible not to get swept up by Richardson’s potential under the cunning coach,” he wrote.

He talked about Anthony Richardson being a passionate and quick study in his first year in the league, adding that he has the athletic traits that would make any offensive-minded coach salivate.
Richardson can harm opposing defenses with his arm and his feet, and despite his lack of playing time, the only legitimate concern about him should be his health — or lack thereof.
If he’s able to stay on the field in 2024, the Colts should have no trouble moving the chains and putting up points on the scoreboard.
They’re well coached by a creative and modern offensive mind, and they have a solid supporting cast around him.
Of course, he’s going to have to learn how to avoid contact and not put his body in harm’s way every single time he takes off.
But hopefully, we’ll get to see him for more than just four games in his second season in the league, as he could be one of the most entertaining players to watch in no time.
