Andre Johnson’s NFL career will not soon be forgotten.
He finished his time in the league with 1,062 receptions, 14,185 receiving yards, and 70 touchdowns.
Johnson mainly played for the Houston Texans but finished his career with brief stints with the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans.
He was recently inducted into the Texans’ Ring of Honor for the accomplishments and accolades he racked up during his time with the team.
While being a part of a team’s Ring of Honor is a big deal, Johnson has another ceremony to prepare for in a few weeks.
Johnson is getting inducted into the NFL’s Hall of Fame this year, alongside the likes of Devin Hester, Dwight Freeney, Julius Peppers, and Patrick Willis.
He was allowed to see his gold jacket ahead of this event, as shared in a video by the Pro Football Hall of Fame via the NFL on Twitter.
After seeing the jacket, Johnson asked, “I can’t put it on? Not yet?”

Only have to wait two more weeks until you can put that Gold Jacket on, @johnson80. 😂 (via @ProFootballHOF) pic.twitter.com/J175F1e9uk

He was incredibly excited to see his jacket and is looking forward to the upcoming ceremony, where he’ll finally be able to put this jacket on.
The gold jacket in the NFL is a symbol that players have made a remarkable impact on the game.
Johnson and his peers will be forever enshrined in the Hall of Fame, documenting what they did during their time in the league.
This is an honor that few players are awarded, something that is clearly not taken lightly by Johnson.
