Kansas City is turning into a well-respected sports town due to it’s championship performances over the past decade.

The Kansas City Royals won the World Series in 2015, and of course, the Kansas City Chiefs have already won three Super Bowls during the Patrick Mahomes era.

With these historic teams sharing a parking lot, fans don’t have to travel far to see their favorite baseball or football team.

Kansas City is also a historic soccer city, as it’s fans are incredibly passionate about their MLS club, Sporting Kansas City.

They recently added an NWSL team to the mix as well, the Kansas City Current, building the first women-only professional stadium in the world.

This stadium is state-of-the-art, and the team has seen sold-out crowds in their first season at their new venue.

It certainly helps that Patrick Mahomes is a part-owner, and in a recent clip shared from the team, Andy Reid is also a massive supporter.

Reid was shown in this video wearing a scatter print button-down shirt, which had the team’s logos all over it.

While he is a coach of the reigning champions, he also took time to support another local team that is trying to win some championships of their own.

Kansas City continues to be a hub for many sports, and with the continued popularity of women’s soccer across the world, other cities will likely follow suit, also building women-specific stadiums in the near future.

For now, Current fans are able to bask in the glory of their own stadium, which keeps getting visits from other local legends.
